My brief time in Ms. Rizzo’s class was a struggle because in the middle of the year, unfortunately, she wasn’t able to be our professor anymore. During my time in her class though one strategy I learned to do was peer review. This help us be able to catch mistakes that we won’t catch because its our paper.
The first paper I wrote didn’t come out so good I was missing a lot of valuable information and my paper would go off track from time to time. The use of peer review helped me be able to get my paper were it had to be.
Ms. Zayas took on the writing section of the FIQWS class because again Ms. Rizzo couldn’t be with us the whole year. MLA format and also finding sources to go with my paper was a struggle. Both Ms. Rizzo and Ms. Zayas’s class time helped me prepare my paper to the best of my abilities. During this session, we figured out how to assemble data online from the library sources gave to us. I found numerous papers, diaries, and books that identified with my point. Ms. Rizzo likewise helped us distinguish whether the source was good or not. We had a lot of practices that included information inclinations. This helped us accumulate snippets of data that are significant and fair.
In the topic class, I found out about how the job of sexual orientation or race plays in our general public. For instance, the terms of highlight and lingo where they clarified how individuals judge you rely upon those terms. I discovered that we all have a complement or accents even though we are from a similar nation or having a similar language. I am from New York, but we all that there are various accents.
In the TOPIC course, I have taken in a better understanding of race, ethnicity, class, sex, language, sexual direction, conviction, capacity, or different types of social separation play in world societies or social orders. Individuals center a great deal of around these angles when conversing with an individual. They will, in general, arrange them and put them in a container. Each culture talks an alternate way and that is the thing that makes them one of a kind. They each have there possessed kind of language one might say. I have taken in this by investigating every language and seeing how each talk.
One active in the class that helped me was the one that we had a word and I and my partner had to go back and forth writing 2 sentences each to be able to create a story. I and my partner had the word salt which was a bit easy because we just made a sentence up to and it happens to go together. We discussed how to much salt could be bad for you.
To conclude I would want to thank Ms. Zayas and also Ms.Rizzo for all the work they put in. I have taken in a great deal of valuable information that I would be able to use in the future.
