All strong writing begins with a strong perspective. All strong writers are self-reflective. For these reasons, you should look back on your Exploratory Essay topic and consider why it matters not just to the world as a whole, but to YOU. An exigence narrative is a narrative that describes the demand, or importance of your research topic to you. Do not just get stuck in reflecting in that essay–consider how this topic is one that you intend to move forward with in your Researched Critical Analysis.
